How much does the course cost?
The cost of the course is $425 and can be paid by cash, check, Venmo, or PayPal. The fee includes the required 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training and 30 hours of online classroom training.
Can my child drive out of state on a learners permit?
Laws differ by state and are on a state by state basis. Some states accept an out of state learners permit while others don't. It's best to check with the individual state where you will be driving. Click here for more information.
When can they take the driving test?
They can take the test at any time after completion of drivers education. Straight Paths Driving School offers the state driving test through our school for an additional $40.
Can the driving test be taken at the drive school?
Yes! Straight Paths Driving School is state certified to give tests. Advantages of taking it at Straight Paths Driving School are your student is familiar with the car, the car doesn’t need to be inspected (drive school provides) and the student is familiar with their driving instructor. There is an additional charge of $40 for the drive test.
When is my child eligible to enroll?
Your child is eligible to enroll at 15 years old.
How are times setup for driving hours?
Once your student is enrolled with Straight Paths Driving School they will be assigned a driving instructor. You will schedule drive times with their driving instructor.
Do you offer traditional classes?
We are not offering traditional classes at this time.
Are there practice tests available to help study for the permit test?
Yes!! There are several websites that offer free practice tests to help you get ready to take your permit test. Click here to access some free practice tests.
